Local assembly machine manufacturer has immediate opening for a skilled Machinist / Toolmaker. Requires 3 – 5 years experience on both manual lathes and milling machines, ability to read drawings, work independently, solve tooling problems, and interface with customers.

Scope of position:

Operate CNC lathe, CNC mill, CNC grinder to produce required tooling components for new and after market sales. In addition, utilize other manual machines and equipment in order to achieve required production requirements. Works closely with inside sales, engineering and applications engineers in meeting customer demands and requests. Will perform routine maintenance on equipment accordingly tracking inserts, bar stock, etc.

Required Skills:

  • CNC programming and operation (Daewoo/Fanuc experience a plus)
  • Gibbs CAM exposure and experience
  • AutoCAD, Solid works experience
  • Strong computer and math skills
  • Understanding of material types, hardness
  • Ability to produce parts with tight tolerances
  • Independent thinking capabilities
